I wanted to take a little time to share with you some pointers on how you can determine if your commercial cleaning service is making you sick. Just because everything looks clean, and organized does not necessarily mean that your office is sanitized and healthy. So how do you know if your commercial cleaning service is making you sick? Here are a few things to look for. Looking closely for these signs will let you know that it may be time to find another cleaning service.
1. Are the rags being used by the commercial cleaning service one color, or do they have mult-colored rags? Check to see that your cleaning service is not using the same rag to clean your desks that they are using to wiped down the restrooms. If your commercial cleaning service only uses on color of rags, even though they may be washed, they are probably using the same rags to wipe down your desks, countertops, kitchen sink, and even telephones with the same rags they used to clean the restroom. You cleaning service should use one color of rags exclusively for the restrooms, another color for the other surfaces in the office, and yet another color (or type) of rag to clean the glass in the building.
2. Are the mops being used to mop the restrooms also being used to mop the rest of the facility? Your commercial Cleaning Service should at least have a mop that is marked exclusively for restrooms, and another mop that is used to mop the other floors in the facility. Many times in restrooms their is overspray of urine, and bodily chemicals. Make sure your commercial cleaning service is not cross contaminating your facility by moping your kitchen area with the same mop used to mop the restroom.
3. Is your commercial cleaning service moping with dirty mop water? Some commercial cleaning services fills the mop bucket and uses the same mop water at each facility during the course of the evening. Not only are they cross contaminating from one office to the next, but they are also moping your floors with dirty mop water. Check to see if your commercial cleaning service is using clean mop water, and clean mops to mop your facility.
4. Does your commercial cleaning service have a list of MSDS sheets required by OSHA to show how toxic the chemicals they use are, and what to do if they make you sick? You have the right to know.
If you are ready for a cleaning service that goes the extra mile to not only make sure your office is clean, but they are also sanitized and healthy. Call Property GLO of Arkansas at 87-344-2432.
